Recovery after ventouse/forceps then emergency c-section?

Just wondering how long it's going to be before I feel better 'down there'. Had full induced labour of 16 hours followed by two hours at pushing, then rushed into theatre where they tried ventouse, forceps before doing an emergecny c section. I didn't have any stitches but I still feel a bit sore and although my bowels and waterworks are working I am getting what feel like aches after and before.
It's been three weeks now, and today is the first day I haven't cried. Just wondering if anyone out there had the same experience and how long it took them to recover, also how long I should be taking the declafenec and paracetemol? x

oh dear, sounds dreadful. i'm afraid i don't know the answer to your question but would think you should defo bring it up to your mw or gp.

I had ventouse for my DD and could'nt go out for 10 days. My midwife recommended to put some drops of essential oil of lavender and tea tree oil in bath which really helped. I also took some arnica. It took about 14 days to feel a bit better (but a full year to be completely pain free there)

Oh sweetie, I don't want to scare you but I had a forceps delivery (a year ago today!) and it was eight weeks before I could walk completely upright and months before it wasn't painful all the time. Mind you, everyone is different and you didn't have any stitches, but you did have a section on top of a forceps attempt so it may be a while longer. I'd advise lots of sitz baths (the lavender and tea tree essential oil is a great idea, as would Epsom salt be), and take your pain meds regularly until you feel you no longer need them, even if it's another three weeks. Do speak with your GP/ MW as well. Good luck!!

Have you those gel pads that you put in the fridge and then wrap in a muslin and put in your Knickers?
I had two ventouses and an awful lot of stitches (DS2 was 10lb 11oz) and was OK by about week 4/5,was about week 2 with DS1, but hadn't been as difficult a birth (but still a ventouse iyswim) BUT hadn't had a C/Section as well. Your poor thing.
Don't be impatient, just get yourself better and those gel pads, straight from the fridge? Instant relief. I got mine from Mothercare I think.
HOpe you feel better soon.
