Hello, I am now 7 wks pregnant.

I live in NW8 and I can choose either St Mary's in Paddington or UCLH.
My GP recommended St Mary's but I am not sure where to go as I saw negative feedbacks about St Mary's..
Or can I go to Birth Centre?

This is my first pregnancy and I am from Japan, I am worried about many things!!

Please give me any advice.

Am booked it at St Marys (second baby - first one had at Royal Free). To be honest, they've been fine but are very busy - the labour ward rooms are pretty small (think UCLH have larger ones) but the birth centre (where i am hoping to give birth) is lovely and the midwives there seem very nice. There is no/v limited parking at both St Marys and UCLH. My friends who gave birth at UCLH have commented on how thorough all the checks etc in pregnancy were there - if you're a nervous first timer, may be more along the lines of what you want.

The new St Marys is great. The baby unit is quite new and the hospital has a fantastic baby intensive care ward (God forbid that you need it). Staff are lovely too.

I don't know much about St Mary's, but I had my baby at UCH 3 months ago and cannot praise them highly enough.
