tummy tuck directly after c-section

My best pal is preg with no 3 and has already had 2 emerg secs. Her tummy, you might say, is not as it was, and we've been talking about tucks.

She would not consider a tuck on it's own, but since being opened up for 3rd section, is it poss to do it all in one go?!

She seems to think it is.

Any experience anyone?

TIA

I'd say probably not unless her Obstetrician is also a plastic surgeon.

Yeah that's the truth.

Having googled about we see that you can have someone from plastics step in and take over! Guess you may have to be in a private joint.

I think this a "done by celebrities" sort of thing... it is possible, but it's only private and I think I read that it's actually really not recommended, as you still need to recover after the birth, so that everything inside goes back to it's proper size and shape before you consider any cosmetic suregery.

Yes you have to wait until the uterus goes back to normal first. I think they can take away a small amount of flab though, and definitely scar tissue from previous sections.

Thanks all.

It does totally make sense that bits need time to contract, but i do see her point that it's blardy annoying to have to have surgery for a fourth time if it can be done at same time as the third.

Infact i doubt she'll have it if it means fourth op. Who wants to be in hospital having cosmetic surgery when you've got a new baby?!!
