My labour with DD2 was really quick - about 2 hours, but i went from contractions every 7 mins a managing fine breathing through contractions, then my waters then burst and i instantly needed to push and with seconds i could feel her crowning.

I am now 36 weeks pg with DC3 i am hoping that this time round that things will be a little slower !! LOL .

So please share your experiences, how did you next labour go? - dont spare me btw please tell all, good or bad!!

Hi, 4.5 hours start to finish with Dd (nearly didnt get to hospital).
4.5 hours with DS but a harder 4.5 hours as he was 2lb heavier than she was.
So.............in answer to your question, exactly the same!!

quaranta · 01/02/2009 08:55
  1. 5 hours with DS1
1 hr 12 mins with DS2 - thank god had gone for home birth would not have got to hospital. Both good experiences - second was rather unremarkable, too quick to recall any of it - except midwives' mobile didn't work so they only got here as i started pushing. GOOD LUCK

DC1 and 2 were both fast and furious - 5.5 hours and 3.5 hours. DC3 was a different experience entirely - he was induced and the whole thing took 36 hours. DC4 was 12 hours. So no, there was no obvious pattern.

Good luck, whatever happens

Hi
2 quite quick births here

ds1 2 hours from start to finish
ds2 4 1/2 minutes from start to finish...i didn't even get to the hospital

sweetkitty · 01/02/2009 09:31

DD1 4h20m waters to baby
DD2 2h30m first cx to baby (waters had to be broken)
DD3 1h35m from oh DP my waters have gone to baby in my arms, fast but painful

My other tip get some good pain relief for the afterpains

ellenjames · 01/02/2009 09:48

i am expecting dc3 in march and was wondering the same thing! DD was roughly 10hrs but had epidural, and then ds was 1 hr 40 mins and am hoping this one is just as quick!

BoffinMum · 01/02/2009 11:48

About 3.5 hours, not too painful apart from second stage.
Hospital have told me I might as well have a HB next time as they don't like delivering babies in the hospital car park!

twocutedarlings · 01/02/2009 15:55

Thanks girls

Thankfully i have a HB planned this time round, so i am just keeping my fingers crossed that the MW will make it .

BUMP to for anymore!!

ds1 - 2 hours (1hrs pushing)
ds2 - under 15 mins (he fell out)

MKG · 01/02/2009 16:36

Hey two cute!

Ds1 was a 24 hour induction but only 3 hours of labor.
Ds2 was also 3 hours of labor, but came of his own accord.

So another one that says exactly the same. I'm wondering if this one will be the same or faster.

All three of mine were induced.

DS1 12 hours.
DS2 2 hours.
DS3 an hour and a quarter.

DS3's was by far the easiest, but then he was the best part of 2lb smaller than the other two.

foxinsocks · 03/02/2009 19:35

mine got faster

last one I barely had a contraction before I was on my hands and knees and out the baby shot

any more and I fear I'd have to wear extra strength knickers to catch the baby as I walked down the street

LucyEllensmummy · 03/02/2009 20:39

DD1 1.5 hours, luckily i was in hospital waiting to be induced, because i thought i was a tad constipated

DD2 27 hours - four hours pushing

Tamarto · 03/02/2009 20:40

First two were very quick. Third was very slow.
