I had my dd 1 year ago by ecs and 15 days after her 1st burthday I had to go into hospital to have a discectomy (I have had ongoing problems with my back since the birth probably due to a difficult labour) we are currently staying with my parents who are being amazing, looking after her and me but I am starting to feel increasingly diassociated from my dd and very tearful and depressed. It is two weeks after the surgery, pleasde tell me I am normal and its going to get better!

I think it's totally understandable. You've been through a lot, you poor thing, and I can imagine it must be hard to get about after spinal surgery. That's enough to depress anyone!

Try to think about how good it is that your parents are able to help and that she has a good relationship with them. Before long you will be well again and you can enjoy spending more active time with her. In the meantime, rest easy and I hope you feel lots better soon.
