sort of about childbirth - a strange question regarding periods

I have wondered abut this for ages. I had a emergency c-section and only dilated 1cm. However since having ds my period is much shorter (and heavier - yuck) and I have much less pain.

As I didn't dilate, why has my AF changed?

Anyone with any ideas?

(sorry to post boring post childbirth question in such an exciting topic)

I've found that my AF is shorter but heavier and less painful after two vaginal births. Don't know if that helps you?
Don't know if it's anything to do with how much you dilate, I thought it would be about uterus stretching an lining changing?
