No ovulation after baby

My baby boy is now 6mnths old - born Octobert 4th last yr. I breastfed him for 6-7 weeks, but I have had no period.

I must have spent a small fortune on pregnancy tests - negative. Can I have gone straight to the menopause??

I'm 35......

I wondered the same thing myself - no sign of a period for over 14 months after dd was born and I,m also a bit older than you (39 at the time). Then when my periods did start they were really weird - completely irregular and so much heavier than before - which I was sure meant the menopause was just around the corner. Got in a real panic and insisted on hormone tests, much to my GPs annoyance. Perhaps she was right as I'm now expecting dd2 in 2 months time!
