4th section...?

I think I must be mad and my husband would probably leap out of his skin if he thought I was considering it.. Anyway, I have three children, first two emergency sections, this third was 7.5 months ago and a planned section. It went really well, but I definitely have a lingering scar/skin tenderness that has noticeably gotten worse each time. Also, weight gain with all of them hasn't disappeared! I am "only" 80kg so not morbid but could use to lose a fair bit of weight.

My question is.. has anyone experienced continuing tenderness and gone on for a fourth section? My other three were all slightly traumatic, partial abruption of the placenta with the last one, and other two had to be helped to breathe, 8 minutes being the worst of them. So.. mad? I just don't feel "done".

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I've had 4 sections, my scar wound has always felt tender but not uncomfortable to live with. My advice to you would be try to loose the extra weight before ttc#4 as it will speed up your recovery in the long run, also check with a consultant before you ttc#4 as they can explain the pros and cons based on your history. Some hospitals don't like to perform any more than 3 sections.....good luck!

I suppose that would be the best place to start - I did ask the doctor while I was on the table what she thought, and apparently looked ok.

It may just be that I don't want to rule it out - it seems so final (and unfair!) that I am limited by the birthing option.
