Due today, but when should I actually inform hospital if/when overdue?

I have no further appointments with the midwife or GP. Presumably, the only way my local hospital will know I'm overdue is if I contact them and tell them, at which point, they will presumably suggest some kind of action. But how long to leave it before phoning? 3 days? A week? Sorry if this seems a silly question!

You should still be having appointments with the midwife surely? I thought you usually had a weekly appointment until the baby arrives. That's how it used to be anyway.

Not a silly question at all Museli. Many hospitals give people an automatic 41 week appointment - your hosp obviously doesn't do that but there WILL be a system for identifying those who need such appointments. Ring the community midwife and ask her as she'll know what to do (will probably arrange the appt for you).
