I've been having regular BH since 36 weeks and am now 38 +4 and a bit fed up and thought I might try and make things happen.... was wondering whether to go and get some clary sage..has anyone tried this and if so is it ok with a vbac?

TIA

have no idea about vbac so please check. I used it when 8 days overdue with my first and it bought labour on very quickly and strongly I think. In hindsight after my second I would say that I skipped the first stage of labour as the contractions came strong and regular from about 40 mins after rubbing it into my stomach and no gradual build up as with ds2 (where didnt use because waters broke on my due date). There was no problem with this as was desperate to get things going but I wionder if maybe a gradual onset labour might be safer for a vbac if there are concerns about the scar etc?

Of course it could have just been coincedence as I was 8 days OD anyway but my contractions were definitely full on with no build up the time I used it. Would definitely use again if I was overdue.

have just noticed you are only 38+4 - I think I'd be tempted to wait until after due date personally if you can stand it.

thanks, that is what I thought... but you know what crazy, huge, impatient people pregnant women can be
