Overdue - reflexology versus acupuncture to get things going?

Quick opinion poll really - I'm going to book myself in for some treatment to see if it'll help shift this (very overdue) baby - have access to excellent pregnancy specialists in both reflexology and acupuncture.

Not sure which to go for? Has anyone tried and had particular success with either, or any opinions/thoughts on which might be more effective?

thank you

not sure but I think acupuncture is more immediate and stronger in effect. My acupuncturist is also a reflexologist and specialises in pregnancy etc and she does call outs to people's houses to get things going or if waters have broken but no contractions she gets them started and that's all with acupuncture. I think she uses the reflexology more as a general health balance thing during preg and as a relaxation aid during labour. Wishing you all the best.

Thanks lilimama! I've had good experience with acupuncture for other things and found it very effective so that's interesting to hear.

Do them both!

HAHAHA

No, seriously, I'd go with the acupuncture. Just personal and anecdotal experience.

Had one reflexology treatment the day before my due date. Waters broke the next morning. The point that they stimulate to encourage labour to start was pretty painful - but is an indication it is being done right i think!

Obviously will never know if it was a coincidence or not but there were no signs of anything about to happen beforehand

I had three reflexology treatments. Every time, she told me I was ready to go. Load of old hogwash. DS was born 17 days overdue (yes, really - I refused induction)
