am I in labour variation 9873498239 - or is this baby going to hang on until tomorrow?

EDD 30 Dec. No show, not other signs, just mild period type pains every 15 mins or so. Strong urge to clean stuff. CM (on call to look after DS) is at the panto this eve, so would much prefer this baby to hang on till tonight or tomorrow - any thoughts?

of course this could all be in my imagination...

off to sort the laundry and clean the floors.

I had pains every 15 minutes for about an hour or two and baby came 6 days later.

Carry on and try and take your mind off it

Hi Effie
I am off the due Dec thread too, but not caught up for a while.
I am having a slow one too, woke this morning about 4 with pains and a small show. By 5 they were 5mins apart, we went to the hosp at 8 where they stopped and started for a while, baby was transverse last week so needed a scan or wouldnt have bothered them this early.

I have now been home for 4 hours had a sleep, and woke with a raging headache and found the rest of my show in the loo [bleeugh]. But only the odd pain for the last hour.
So it looks like I am here all night too.

Come on effie, cheer up, soon have your babe in your arms and all that malarky. I know you are fed up and I know you have read all the "this is your body preparing" threads and comments but it is. Now - another quality street, a little wine spritzer and a nice warm bath....

as Arnie said - I'll be back

EffiePerine · 27/12/2008 21:42

I know, I know, plus I've done this before so should realise what is labour and what isn't

off to bed to get some SLEEP

I had a strong urge to plant huge trees on the day I went into labour with my 3rd (now 20 months). The period pains were every 20 minutes to start with and I felt a very low down pain. I found it difficult to bend to dig the holes! Baby was telling me to stop so I did!
During the day the period pains were there and gradually came closer together and more painful. She was born the next morning, 4 weeks early.
I will keep an eye on this thread, it is exciting.
Keep us posted and ...and good luck!

Effie...any news? I keep looking to see if you have posted but nothing! Maybe you are in labour?! Hope so! Fingers crossed x

EffiePerine · 28/12/2008 17:52

Nope, nothing much happening I'm afraid! Think I'll be a while yet
