34+3 by my dates, 35 today by scan dates. Bump dropped about two weeks ago - Suddelnly belly on thighs when sitting. Feeling a bit odd today and decided to feel up fanjo to see if anything going on - cervix feels really soft like a big squishy pair of lips, and I didn't try but there was room for a couple of fingers in there. This is my second baby. Is this a normal state of affairs or could I have bubs a bit early? DD1 was 42+4 and induced.

well, your cervix is always a little bit open again after you have a baby, one to two fingertips is ok....squisy means your cervix is ripening, but does not mean that anything could happen imminently, but who knows with babies!! if you are having any pains or leaking any fluid, you should call MW.
otherwise, wait and see.. but if you are at all concerned about early labout ehn you should call MW

thanks for for replies - at the 'I'm ready to get this over with' stage. No signs of early labour which is good but hopeful I wont go 18 days overdue again!
