Will CIGNA cover cost of delivery ?

My consultant wants to deliver me at around 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes. Will private insurance CIGNA cover this? Has anyone got any experience on this matter?

Thanks!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

are you abroad ? Were you diagnosed before you took the insurance out ? They paid for dd's delivery abroad in a private clinic but it wasn't complicated and think the amount was capped.

hi Lizs, i am in the UK and i've had the insurance for 6 yrs. so it was diagnosed well after i took the insurance out.

were you abroad when you had your DD?

yes , moved abroad at 6 months pg. Was covered even though was already pg so seem more generous than most.

I have CIGNA insurance through work and they only cover emergency c-sections. Cx

I had my baby on Cigna in the USA - I think I paid about $20.

Can't you call Cigna and ask the nurse? They are very helpful. I think if it's medical reasons they do cover you as long as you didn't know there was a problem before you took out the policy.
