Still bleeding almost 6 weeks after c-section

I had an emergency c-section 5 and a half weeks ago. Bleeding was never very heavy and settled down within a week. However since then I have had a pinkish/brownish discharge which has not properly cleared up. It will disappear for a day or two and then re-appear. I have no pain and there is no smell, but I am wondering if it will ever stop. I have my post-natal check next week so I will ask the doctor then, but I was wondering if anyone else had had the same thing. Also is it possible that it is a sign that something is wrong? Other than that I feel great and I am keen to start doing some exercise again (other than walking with the pram), but feel I have to wait until this bleeding clears up as I don't want to make it worse.

i'm sure i remember my post c-section bleeding coming and going, and yes, it did last 6 weeks or so. obviously you should mention it at 6 week check up but i'm sure all is well. i think you would know if something was array, and if you're feeling good, then great.

I bled for more than 6 weeks but I would mention it at 6 week check too.
