I am due Christmas Day and midwife is coming on Friday (36+1) to arrange the gas and air delivery and maybe drop off the pack? (arghhh!)

I wouldn't say I'm panicking but its all getting very real and imminent very fast! And I so want things to go smoothly like they did last time!

Also are you taking anything such as raspberry leaf or massaging with clarysage oil? If so when did you start?

I ask because Ive had very strong tightenings for weeks, have even been monitored at hospital a few weeks back and examined (cervix was long and closed) and I don't want to kick things off before 37 weeks when I know I would be OK to stay at home!

Is anyone using a pool too?

I still need to check mine for holes, disinfect it and buy a new hose/tap attatchment!

I'm not having a homebirth as I cant ...

however try to stay calm, relax and enjoy

You are going to be in the best and safest place to have your baby ...

Enjoy :0

Hi,

I'm Due on valentine's day and am planning a homebirth with a pool. I have been having strong BHs since week 26 when I was v.sick with bonifide flu (was beside myself with worry as was convinced I was poorly enough to go into labour!)

I took raspberry leaf tea with my DD but can't remember when I started taking it ? if you google it you should get an idea. I seem to remember you start of gently then build up your intake weekly.

I am also planing on getting an oil burner and treating myself to some essential oils that are recommended for labour such as Jasmine, Lavender and Clary sage.

Best of luck EwEC!

Hi, I am due on 6th January anf am hoping for another homebirth, with a pool.

I too am wondering about when to start raspberry leaf capsules and baths with clary sage (I'm 34 weeks tomorrow).

Good Luck to you Enchanted

Don't start anything until you are 37 weeks should not even try really until 38 weeks. baby will be born when he/she is ready. Some things like Raspberry leaf tea and especially Clary sage babies may not be able to tolerate if they are not ready to be born leading to maybe not getting your homebirth. Clary sage contracts the uterus so you don't want to put any undue stress too early. All the best
