Im 39+1 and today i have alot of pressure down below from baby and need to wee every time i get up. I have spd but today really bad just at the front of my pelvis. What im wondering if anyone else realised their spd was worse going into labour or am i making this up? Havent done anything to make it worse.

Also when i had ds1 i had diarhorrea (sp) few days before and just before labour, today i have erm had number 2 three times so far but it isnt actual diarhorrea. I just dont feel right, feel sick and anxious...

Ive had a few false starts as i have an irritable uterus but this is abit different as no actual contractions as such just belly being very hard

No advice I'm afraid as I've never gone into labour myself, but thought I'd bump for you. Good luck.

lulumama · 19/11/2008 20:15

you need to eat , have a bath and light some candles, do a visualisation and let go of the anger. speak to your baby and ask your body to open up.

try not to dwell on it and obssess, que sera, sera

and if all esle fails.. sex and nipple stim!

mad4mybaby · 19/11/2008 20:21

eugh sex just isnt possible. makes me wana chuck thinking about it! Im feeling sick already so dont want to add to it!

Ive been trying nipple stim, whats the best way to do it? On here people say just the nipple but i did some research and that said you should use your whole hand so your whole nipple area was in the palm of your hand? Also its says 15 mins each hour, are you supposed to do one side at a time or both?

Lulu is right. Do try to eat something. If this is it you'll need the energy, plus something light may help the nausea.

mad4mybaby · 19/11/2008 20:30

im never this grouchy/angry. I keep having the feeling i really need to poo so go the loo but dont actually need to.

How are you getting on Mad4?

I had exactly what you are describing for the whole of yesterday evening and again this morning (not the angry feeling though). I am hoping this is the start of something but doesnt feel the same as previous times!

Hope you are ok and that the lack of further news is a good sign .

my spd made me knackered for the week before labour, also feeling like peeing all the time, insomnia, etc.
the spd got a lot worse in actual labour - next time i'll make sure it's on my birth plan so people will know i'll need help sitting up etc after birth - stupidly i thought the wheelchair would be enough of a clue...

mad4mybaby · 22/11/2008 16:31

just quickly to add, my waters broke 10.30that night! Had a 1 1/2 hour waterbirth and ds2 born 7lb 4oz

CharleeInChains · 22/11/2008 17:14

MY SPD was so bad the day i went into laour i actually went into hospital becuase i was in so much damn pain i couldn't walk and they kept me on the ward and i went into labour that night.
