Any views on Zoe Penn, Mark Johnson or the Kensington Wing at CW?

Hi all

This is my first post and already I have about a million questions! I'm almost 10 weeks and am in a state of complete confusion over birth options...

I'm currently looking at a consultant-led delivery at the Kensington Wing at the Chelsea & Westminster. Zoe Penn and Mark Johnson have both come highly recommended, and just wondered whether anyone had any experience of either obstetrician or the Kensington Wing?

Thanks so much

Probably a bit late but there are some old threads praising these two - and had a friend who loved MJ (quite a few years back now).
I've encountered other OBs there but the Ken wing is just a fab place to give birth - highly recommend it.

Mark Johnson & Martin Lupton. Both fantastic and genuinely concerned about you having a positive birth experience.

Yes Mark Johnson was my wife's consultant.

Excellent.

Yes, MJ is great. He was my consultant, and he is really thorough, answers all the questions, and generally provides excellent care. Unfortunately, he was away for my delivery, and I ended up with Zoe Penn. She broke my waters when I was in very early stages of labour, and the baby was still very high, at -3 station. Several hours later the baby went in distress, and I was rushed for emergency section. When operating she extended the insicion too far to the right, I ended up with a neurological ingury, and was unable to stay upright for more than a few minutes. Thankfully, it resolved after 5 weeks. No explanation of what happened had been provided at any point, instead I was told to smile, since I had a healthy baby.
