...went in to hospital for a blood test today to check on my obstetric cholestasis and the results weren't great - so they have brought my section forward to Monday . Also had scan (all fine) and have to go in tomorrow for more monitoring. Wasn't due until the 28th, so feel like I'm not prepared, House is a tip, still got baby stuff to get and our car broke down this week. Argh! Tell me it will all be OK, please.

It sounds great to me.
It really will be OK.
You can order any baby stuff you need online, it'll be at home before you get out of hospital.
Sorted.

You will be fine.

Your DH can order any baby stuff you absolutely need over the internet (he'll have time while you're in the hospital recovering), and the shops will be open after the baby is born for anything else.

The baby will not care if your house is a tip, and you would be amazed how having a baby can make other people volunteer to clean up for you!

You can hire a car or get a taxi to/from the hospital if need be.

And you're going to meet your lovely baby in a few days. How great is that?

Everything will be fine.

I had polyhydramnious with my dd and unexpectedly had to be admitted to hospital three week before my due date after an appointment with my consultant. They only just agreed that I could go home and get a bag of things before going onto the ward.

I panicked as we weren't ready, ds was not settled into pre-school, nursery not decorated etc etc.

Anyway, surprising how things get sorted when you don't expect them to and most importantly you will have your lovely baby and no itching or worry.

Thanks all. Haven't been able to sleep much tonight. Don't know if it's nerves or excitement or the bloody itching or what!
