OK, I feel exceptionally stupid asking this, especially as this is my second pregnancy...BUT...What the flip does early labour feel like? How do you know?!
I'm currently 40+1, My DS was induced at 40+11, labour started and continued very quickly so I missed the 'early' bits...
This time I've been thinking its about to happen for 4 weeks...obviously it hasn't! Please help before I drive myself to distraction!

Naughty UmSami, poor Pucca. hehehe all three of you should go run laps!! (Now that would be a sight wouldn't it? )
There will be no babies until they are ready. Maybe they want a lay-in as well. Have a great day ladies!

Hi ladies...STILL nothing! After very bad period type cramps night before last, 3 hours sleep, and waking to horrid back pain I was very ...2 parcetamol later and pain much better...a whole day of walking around a mall and nothing, no signs, no pain!
Today I'm so stressed about a stupid hospital policy that I'm wishing she stays in! But thats a whole other thread LOL...
God Bless all mumsnetters...you're keeping me sane!
Oh yeah...happy halloween!

Oh, keep walking...every now and then a little squat (make sure you have someone to hold onto so you don't fall) and I'm hoping you've gone into labour by the time you read this post!!!
We had an okay Halloween. I need to carve and cook some pumpkin now though. If applicable, remember daylight savings time is tomorrow.

umsami, i am 39 weeks and the last few nights have felt sure that labour has started - cramps, tightening, lower back pains etc... last night especially intense, but must have fallen asleep eventually and awoke to baby still in tummy x this also second baby, with my first there were no false alarms it just all flowed very clearly...

so wishing you well and hoping both our birthings flow easy

I asked a MW this, and she said that you;ll know a real contraction because it takes your breath away. 8 weeks ago tonight I discovered what she meant!
