does everyone get a show?

am now 3 days overdue - does everyone get a show before contraction start? I know your waters can break at any time...

I actually don't remember if I had a show with ds1, but it may have coincided with my body clearing itself out in the early hours. With ds2, I had a bloody show at about 10am and delivered at 4.39pm after an 89 minute labour. I am now due in 2 days and apart from an increase in CM, I have seen no plug or show and am not entirely sure I will see one this time.

I hope the overdue girls go soon. It is one of the things that is keeping me going right now, knowing there are ladies here more pregnant than me (I mean that in the nicest way!). I feel for you, ds1 was a 41w+1d baby. However, ds2 was a 39+5 and as that is where I am today, I feela little disappointed to not be feeling like today is the day, lol!

I don't remember noticing a show with ds. It's pretty clear when you're in labour though - ie lots of contractions!! I remember being worried I wouldn't know, but there wasn't really any doubt when it actually did start.

No show, no waters breaking, bit of backache. Was 6cm dilated before I realised I was in labour

I didn't with either of my pg, my waters broke in the night and then contractions started shortly after. I had been having stronger Braxton Hicks during the previous few days though - strong enough to make me stop when walking in the street, and for DH to look terrified and want to ring hospital

thanks everyone...just want my baby out now, and good to know I don't have to have ticked all the boxes like shows, waters breaking etc before going into labour....
