HELP ! Birth Pool in a box setup What is the white mesh sheet in the kit?

Hi all, we are having to setup the birth pool quickly and have come across a bit that we don't know what to do with. It is a white rubber mesh sheet in the kit that comes with it.

What is it for?

Thanks

Huh - ours didn't have one of them! Ours had the pool, sterile liner, strainer, non-slip waterproof tarp for the floor... that's it, I think.

And the hose kit and pumps, obviously.

OK thanks.. we have the standard kit so maybe it's something new that they've added

We presumed it was a mat for the floor of the pool so you didnt slip on that. We put it there anyway but its tiny so I didnt actually sit on it or anything!

Its nothing vital anyway...

Good luck - pool was fab - til they made me get out as I was nearly going to sleep in the pushing stage as it made me a little too relaxed lol. Apparently I was floating on my back saying "just a few more minutes" - its soo lovely in there.

I attribute only getting a tiny tear to the water too. Had an episiotomy with DS and even though DD was 8lb 12 (1.5 lb bigger than DS) and brow presentation I only had a tiny first degree tear!

And does quickly mean baby is on its way? Good luck!

Contractions suddenly kicked in at 8 mins apart for the past hour. DH is not a man to prepare in advance despite my best nagging.

Been trying to do a trial run for the past week but had to clear heavy furniture first so not something I could do on my own.
