Has anyone had one of those post c-section belts that you can put hot/cold packs in.

Are they any good or are they a waste of money?

Thanks!

I used one after my second cs. Found it eased the pain around the scar a lot but most importantly provided a hard protective cover for my scar area so I could BF DD lying her across me while sitting without any discomfort, and when my older DS jumped on me it prevented me feeling sore! So definitely recommend especially if you will have a toddler around as well as a newborn. They are expensive though so might be worth asking around in case anyone can lend you one- I'd offer but mine's now in use with a friend (been round 3 of us already)!

Can I just add a tip girls, not had my section (yet) but doc advised me when I was using icepacks down below for first time round and will remember it for after my C/S in Feb...

She said not to use cold/ice packs for longer than 20-30 mins at a time, as they decrease blood flow - taking the blood away longer than that stops it doing it's healing job and can increase the scarring.

Good luck with it!
