C-sections and tens machines

Has anyone used a tens machine after a c-section, instead of painkillers?

I'd never heard of doing this before, but I just read it in an American book and was wondering if anyone had tried it.

Those Americans are full of themselves you know.

I would recommend taking all the pain medicine they offer. It helps to get you up and around faster. And getting up and walking will do a lot more for you than avoiding drugs.

Take everything they give you. I used TENS at the beginning of Labour and it was on full blast and didn't do a thing. I totally agree with the above post. I took all drugs at every offering after my section and was up and about 12 hours later. Longer than I wanted but the recovery ward was very busy that morning.
