A question... the answering of which requires TMI from me perhaps

OK....
Has DS just over 5 months ago. Had the usual post birth bleeding for about 5 or 6 weeks. Have had 3 periods since then, all normal. But also between periods I seem to have so much more discharge than before. It's not green or anything, in fact it's like thin EWCM but there's loads. I quite often feel I need a panty liner.
Also, and this is the tMI part. I think I smell different. DH agrees . He says it doesn't smell bad, just stronger. I think it's kind of musty but def more potent. I'm worried I've got an infection, or worse, that I haven't and I'm condemned to a life of a smelly fanjo .
I know I should go and see the doctor but what if she asks me if it smells, what will I say? "well I think so, but I'm not sure how much, do you want a whiff?". I've been hoping it's just everything settling down but it's been nearly 6 months now.

If you think there's a smell and your DH agrees, then there is a smell. It doesn;t mean you are Mrs Stinkychuff, it just means that there is a bit of a smell. Please go and see your doctor and tell her: you will not be the first or the last and it is probably something very simple that a couple of pills will clear up in no time.

I have def had more discharge since having babies.

no idea about smell. I haven't noticed anything, but i guess it could have changed

I haven't noticed a smell but I have noticed far more discharge than before I had kids.

If you feel that bad seeing the doctor, why not ask to see a MW? Though I'm sure the doctor will have seen and smelt worse that day.

I'd be inclined to wait around till a year has passed! I hate going to the GP at the best of times. I definitely had a lot more discharge after ds, particularly at ovulation, but didn't notice a smell. Too lost in a haze of sleeplessness to notice cars coming at me in the road, let alone a slightly musty fanjo (and let's face it, I was washing less too ).

I'm not usually crap about things like this.
been googling..think i need antibiotics. sounds like imbalance of bacteria. glad to hear at least that the extra discharge sounds normal.

there's def a smell so i really think I'm going to have to swallow my shame and tell the doctor I've got smelly bits. Thank you all for the advice. Will make an appointment as the worry about the smell aspect has been upsetting me.

You must of used lots of sanitary towels in the last few months, or maybe you have changed your washing powder; if so you could have Bacterial Vaginosis Go to your family planning clinic and ask for a swab.
