Those of you who went overdue how much did your baby weigh.....

Compared to any of your other children who were born on time or early?

I am now 41 weeks and starting to worry that I am going to have a huge baby to deliver. My ds was born weighing 5lb 15oz at 39+5 and so I was wondering how much your overdue dc weighed, how far overdue you were and how much did any other dc you gave birth to on time or early weigh in comparison?

DS - 4 days late 6lb6olz. My MW was convinced he'd be huge

I was a late baby, 10 days late(mum was induced) and I weighed 7lb80z

ds1 - 10 days late 8lb 7oz
ds2 - 2 days late 8lb 7 oz

Both two weeks overdue and were 8lb 12 and 8lb 13

2 weeks over - DD was 8.5lb

DS two days late 8lb 3 oz
DD 10 days late 7lb 6oz

10 days 6lbs 6oz

three weeks over and ds1 was 10lb 4oz

but then ds2 was two weeks early and 10lb 6oz and dd was three weeks early and was 10lb 2oz so i think unfortunatley i inherited the baby weight genes from dh's side fo the family as on his side they were all at least 10lb.

ds born 1 week late 7lb 4oz
dd born 5 days late also 7lb 4oz

I'm 38 weeks now, baby feels enormous! I'm nervous about having a huge one this time too.

No comparison but my ds was born at 42 weeks and was 8 lbs 2 oz

40+10. 11lb 11oz . eatimated 9lb 5oz if birthed on due date. did it in water with half tank of gas and air. easier than 6lb 13oz ds1. there is a strain of lore that says big babies easier to birth in some ways, as they can be better and doing their part of the moving round and down bargain.

41 weeks, 8lb 4oz. My GP had warned me I was having a big baby so I was quite relieved he wasn't heavier!

DS1 - 8 days late - 8lb 1oz
DS2 - 2 days early 7lb 13oz

Will be getting a predicted weight of ds3 today, who is due in 8 weeks, but I am reckoning at least 9 1/2lb if born on time, lol! He just feels heavier. I hear heavier babies are somewhat easier to deliver and as I want a home birth, that's fine by me

ds1 8 days overdue - 9lb 3
ds2 on due date - 8lb 13 (though has always been much bigger and heavier since birth)

DS 15 days over, 9lb
DD 3 days over 8lb 6

I'm quite tall myself so I wasn't expecting small babies - it didn't help when I went I was in labour with DS and midwife said "isn't it awful when they stay in there for so long, getting bigger and bigger every day..." Er, thanks

Actually, I don't think being overdue makes much difference in the size scheme of things, because by then growth has slowed right down. You'll be fine!

I was induced at 42 weeks and was huge - DS was 8lb 13 and continued to put on weight after being born. Dont worry about it - it may just be your baby needs a little longer to develop inside you. My friend gave birth next day (10 days overdue) and her baby girl was 8lb 12oz.

Dd 4v days over - 8lb 12oz

DD was induced at 42 weeks and she was 8 lb

DS was 11 days late and was 11 lb 4 oz..

DS1 12 days over 11lb 7
DS2 2 days over 9lb 5
It looks like I win on the size front! My initial due date on dates was 2 weeks earlier than my scan due date for ds1 but even though a scan at 36 weeks had him at the size of a 42 weeker the consultant didn't feel the need to move up my due date.

I have only had my DS

6 days overdue - 6lb 15.5oz

I was told from about 32 weeks that I was going to have a big baby! Yeah proved them worng

DS - 13 days over (went into sp labour) - 10lb 4 oz

5lb 9 - 2 weeks overdue. Now v tall and skinny 8 yr old
7lb - one day early, v small 4 yr old!

ds1 - EARLY 3 days - 6lbs 11oz
ds2 - EARLY a week - 8lb 1oz

dd - LATE BY A WEEK - 8lb 9oz

1 baby - 10 days overdue (induced at 8 days and went into labour at 9 days) - 7lb 7oz

This time my 1st scan showed baby was only 9 + 4 not 11 + 2 as calculated from LMP and my due date is a bit later, I'm wondering if 1st was really overdue at all.
