Waters breaking

Does anyone know how soon you NEED to go to hospital once your waters have broken? Last time for my first baby, I went an hour later but then nothing happened for the best part of 24 hours. This time I have my DS to worry about so more keen to stay at home for as long as possible but don't want to create any problems.

risk of infection.

I rung in after mine broke and they said they would give IV antibiotics and induce me if I hadn't gone into labour naturally after 24 hours. So after an hours montitoring to check all was OK, I was sent home in the night with instructions to go back at 7.30am.....went into labour at 2am though

This is a sore point with me but I would say don't rush.

I got induced after 3 days after labour didn't start.

I woudl personally stay quiet next time and take the pressure off yourself.

As long as the waters are a normal colour, and as long as you don't have a temperature, you can stay at home for quite a few hours.
