Finally got through on 08456 088 769.
There is a backlog of 4 weeks from date of application and once a decision has been made 1st payment will be received 5 working days thereafter.

thanks i have had the same - except they sent me my form back and asked me to resign and then I was sent to the back of the queue i applied on 4/7/08 and I am still waiting they have told me it could be another 5 weeks before i start getting payments

my baby is due in october.

Don't get me started on these incompetent idiots.

They're muppets!! I sent my form in and it took over 2 months for them to deal with it. They've declined me because I HAVE to go in to work for a couple of days to do reglatory reporting. I think I can have upto 10 days in work anyway. I've disputed it because of this, my child will be in school by the time they've made a decision!!
