I'm quite scared as this is all new to me after 3 normal labour/births. Really wanted a 2nd homebirth too

Sorry it wasn't the birth experience you wanted but glad all is well with you and Brooke.

I hope you can get to grips with how quick it was (lulumama has some great birth trauma links) and settle down to enjoy your beautiful daughter and welcome her into the family

re: (lack of) treatment. i am steaming angry for you. that was shite. if you find it still festering and spoiling memories of your birth, tell the hospital. ask for an apology/discussion/moon on a stick if you want it. let them know they naffed it up for you. you'll get something of it out of your system that way. and maybe they'll think hard about treating the next person a bit better.
