Strange things happen when it's a full moon!

Hi all! I would like to conduct a personal mini-survey to determine whether or not more women go into labour when the moon is full than at any other time of the month so I have posted a link here that will give you the last full moon dates as far back as 2004.

I have heard it being said that more women do go into labour when it's a full moon so I would like to know if it is true. Could you please humour me by telling me when you gave birth and was it a full moon or not?

Not me for DS2 and 3

I had a look but had to change it as dd was born in 2000 but she was born between full moons but was a cs anyway.

It presumably depends somewhat on whether our menses are in phase with the moon, which in our cities of street lighting and our evenings of electric light is presumably not the norm in the industrialised West?

If you click on the moon in the top right corner of MN (under Log Out), you will find a link to a page that gives 6,000 years of moon phases - should cover anyone's birthdate!

DS was first quarter & DD was last quarter.

Really onwardandupward? That's interesting what you say about the lighting etc. and about our cycles please explain?

Ooo yes i went into labour on a full moon but it took 3 days until DD was born!

day after full moon for me, but waters broke on the FM.

DD was one day earlier than the full moon. Checking back was one day later than a full moon.

DS was exactly on a full moon date and I remember loads of other women in labour in the hospital and the midwifes saying that it was always like this at a full moon.

Can confirm from two separate police sources that crime rates also soar when there is a full moon.

No neither of mine were though both times the labour wards were heaving more than usual.

definitely voluptua, we live near quite a lively street and can tell when it's a full moon.

MW said that there was a lot more animal noises made when women giving birth on a full moon!

Ds 1 was born on full moon after 3 days of labour!

Not for dd1 but right on the full moon for dd2.

1 full moon, 1 new moon here

Jan 05 - 4 days after full moon
Jan 07 - 1 day before full moon

Not me. I went into labour 4 days after the full moon. I do remember gazing up at the full moon and wishing that it would have some effect and kickstart labour though!
