How often and how long does MW/HV come for after baby no.2?

I am sure with DS1 the MW came everyday for 10 days (ish?) and the HV comes on day 10 - is that the norm or is that just baby no.1? DS2 was born Thursday (home Thurs night) and no sign of anyone - is that normal with no.2 +? I am sure they chart their weight daily but that was 2.5 years ago...

With dd2 mine came the day after, then she asked me if I'd mind her missing a few days, if I felt confident enough, of course I said, yes so she then came about 3 days after that, then once to discharge me, then HV came round and did the cursory visit. I'm guessing it may depend on area though?

and just before anyone says my MW was crap in doing that, I'll just say she was part time and very good, but had a lot on her plate covering a large area, and she knows I'm the sort of person to yell if I need help.

I only saw my hv once after 2nd dc and then out of the blue when dc2 was 3.5 months old hv came round to see us??!!

saw mw 2 times after discharge with dd2 - mutual agreement. handover to hv at 10days, one visit from HV, then to clinic as and when.

mw can come for up to a month (or maybe even 6 weeks?) if you'd rather. with dd (my third) I asked them not to discharge me til then cos I was still having complications

We saw a midwife the day after I got home from hospital, again 2 days later and signed off a week later.

I expect it all depends on your circumstances, and how much support and medical attention you want/need.

Saw midwives daily for first week with both my 2 [both cs though] and then weekly for a month. Then HV twice - mainly, it appeared, just to be friendly.

MW is supposed to come every day to 10 days

You really are not obliged to see HV at all. With ds (dc2) and dd2, I had §1 visit then said I would call if I needed help.
