c section scar - pains

Hi everyone

I had a c section nearly 17 weeks ago. This weekend I had pains around the scar area - difficult to describe but quite "stabbing" in nature. Is this normal? Haven't been particularly overdoing it and scar looks fine - also didn't have any infections or anything like that.

I still get sharp twinges sometimes and mine was 30 weeks ago. Does that sound like it or is it worse?

Yes. It was 18 weeks ago now, and a few weeks ago had similar pains. Seems to have passed now though. Think it is just things settling down. If it continues for more than a week visit the GP.

Beansprout - yes sounds the same. Will monitor and as Helen says will visit GP if continues

Mine was 9 years ago and it still itches and sometimes twinges. Strangely, I was talking to a woman at work today about this, and so does hers, her son btw is 19 tomorrow.

I get stabbing pains in mine when I'm on my period.
