My dd was born at 40+2 and my ds was born at 38 weeks im 37 weeks with dc3 is there a chance this one could be early or just as much chance going full term and over?

All 3 were born at 39 + 1 ... quite spooky really!

DD1 was born 40+1, dd2 was 38 weeks and dd3 was 40+2. The worst thing about dd2 being early was expecting that dd3 would be early too, and being crushingly disappointed when the 38 week mark came and went! I saw my consultant on the Wednesday, he booked me in for induction the following Monday an and she came naturally on the Friday ... Try not to dwell on it too much as it really does make the time drag by and you find yourself getting impatient about being "kept waiting". DD3 is my last dc and I wish I'd enjoyed my pregnancy more in those last few weeks Good luck when things do start happening though

each pg different usually I'd say

my dd was 35+5 and ds was 40+1....

BigBadMousey · 19/08/2008 10:19

DC1 40 exactly
DC2 39 exactly
DC3 40+10

Third labours can be very different from your first two. Lots of MNetters warned me about this and I wasn't sure but they were def right - even my MWs kept saying the same thing throughout the labour

One minute after
Tee hee, sorry not much help really.
I think each pregnancy is different and basically you should expect the unexpected.
I think the dates thing is such a quesstimate anyway, even with dating scans (my DH, DD and DS all have short legs and long bodies although all are quite tall overall) DD & DS looked small for dates as one of the measures they use is thigh bone length.

goingslowlymad · 19/08/2008 10:38

Ds1 39 weeks and 5 days
Ds2 38 weeks
Ds3 37 weeks
Dd 34 weeks

DTs 28 weeks

So each of my pregnancies has got shorter, but the twins probably aren't a true result as twin pregnancies often come early.

ds1 born 11days early, ds2 18days early and ds3 21days early (after being threated with being induced for complications

Good luck its great having 3!!!

DS and DD came at 38w and 3d (weird though) But made me so happy not to go through the whole 40 weeks or more. Now I'm TTC and hope this pregnancy last the same or less. Good luck to you
