imminent labour
well that is how mine both started
good luck

nowwearefour · 13/08/2008 12:29

i had these right up to 42 weeks both times and no labour. guess it means your body getting ready for labour but no promises al will kick off soon

popsycal · 13/08/2008 12:31

yes agree
labour will be soon - but that is a very vague word
and i guess you know it will be soon anyway

are they intermittant? or constant? If they come and go then could be start of labour. Both mine started that way.

yes they come and go, since yesterday, really feels like i could come on my period iynwim.
not had the easiest of pregnancies so far, was in hospital from 33+5 for 9 days in false labour, so dont want to get my hopes up to much.

how long after they started did you go into labour?

my period like pains both times started about 6-8 hours before I felt I needed to go into hospital. 1st time baby was born 10 hours later. 2nd time baby was born 6 hours later. Good luck if it is labour - maybe go for a long walk or something this afternoon. It helps to keep active. It may not be of course so don't get your hopes up too much!
