where were your labour pains?

friend told me you would either get front or back pains. is this true? mine were in my back, not really the stomach area. i wasnt aware there was any difference?

Mine were in the back too nightowl but then my dd was back to back with me so I don't know if that makes a difference. Pre labour pains had all been in the front, like the bad period pains that everyone describes them to be. Was so shocked by difference in real labour pains that I didn't think it was the real thing!

With ds ( like dizzymama's dd, OP) definitely all in the back (thank God for a tens machine !). With dd, low on the front of my pelvis until reached second stage when they were in abdomen.

DS was back-to-back and I knew all about it! It was all in my back.
