Hey, Im a first timer here due end of August and booked for Birth at Medway Maritime. Just wandered if any MN ladies have experienced their care?

Hi Ann, i gave birth to my first baby there in 2003 and they were absolutely fabulous! I wouldn't have wished for better care. They were supportive but without being pushy and my whole experience was wonderful.

You'll be in great care...congrats and good luck...

i used to work there in the paediatric department until 6 weeks ago - we used to do newborn baby checks and i was really impressed with the support postnatally - lots of sessions on baby care etc and friendly midwives. mums seemed happy with care too.

Thanks to both of you - just thought Id ask. It's nice to know anyway. Moved from London about two months ago as was dtermined not to have a baby at NEwham General (shudders) but I didn't know what the hospital here was like. Very reassuring.
