I've been given my midwife booking in appointment for when I'm 12 weeks but no sign of a scan appointment at all - do they do the scan when they book you in or is it a case of booking in for the scan after you've been booked in by the midwives? DH is v keen to be there for the first scan but dont want him to take time off work unecessarily...

Booking in appt also includes a scan. They didn't tell us either...very odd.

Yes, you do get a scan at your booking in. Try your best to make friends with one or two midwives/sister/receptionist. They'll then remember you, and you'll be able to get appointments when there are no appointments left. Try to go for the first appointment in the morning (or afternoon for the doctors clinic) as otherwise long waiting time - could be important if your DH only has a limited time off work.
