third ceasarian - how was it for you?

DP and I are discussing a third child and he confessed one of his major fears is that I might die while having another section (!) i'm more concerned about the recovery with dd1 and dd2 still under 5. Is recovery harder the third time?

IME it was harder and it took longer to heal, but I don't know whether that was because it was my third section or because it was my fifth child.

Also I was sterilised at the same time so this made it a bigger operation.

It does seem though that lots of people on mumsnet have 3 or more sections, have a trawl through old posts for reassurance.
