...by their DB/DS to tell them that SIL is in in labour.

DB came and got Scottishgran as she has agreed to be present at the birth.

DB was a bit grumpy and nervous, but soon calmed down when he saw SIL. She had been taken in yesterday afternoon to be induced.

SIL was in a bit of distress, as the pains were very intense but has since had an epidural and everything is moving along nicely.

Waiting for SG to phone.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hope it all goes well!

Thanks Belgo. It is her 2nd DC but DB's first so he is a bit tense

FGS Could they not stop having a baby long enough to come and let me know what is happening.

I am so proud of my mum, she was a bit hesitant at first about being present at the birth but she has been so supportive throughout the whole pregnancy.

Sarah Jane was born at 2.30pm today, just under 3000g.

I will see her tonight, from the looks of Mum's photos she is a redhead, just like DB

SIL is quite exhausted, it was a difficult birth, but Sarah is fine and my DB is over the moon.

ScottishGran did very well, she was a fab birthing partner.
