Would a second Sweep be effective after Mucus plug loss?

l had a sweep 9 days ago and loss the mucus plug over the following few days but no signs of labour. Booked in for induction on the 18th but would really like to avoid that if possible.

Would a second sweep do anything or would it be poking about for the sake of it?

I'm going to the hospital anyway ths morning to see the physio about my SPD so I could ask the labour ward to do one for me while there (Local midwife won't do it for me as I'm crossing areas to give birth).

It's always worth having a sweep, or many if need be. The plug is separate issue, means very little.

Worked for me. My waters broke after having a second sweep and I went into labour from there - it was a fairly 'vigourous' sweep but bearable and midwife was pretty sure something would happen from it (I guess cervix was looking good, must have been for MW to be able to rummage so much)
