How many liners should I get for my birth pool in a box?

I don't know how long water can sit in the pool for before you have to throw the whole lot away - I'm just thinking that if there's a false start to labour etc.... does anyone else know.

Someone told me that everytime you fill the pool you need a new liner.

I only had 1 liner and we never filled the pool until day of birth.

So depends how many times your gonna use it.

I didn't start filling mine till the MW's said I was 4cms and progressing.

One should be fine, if you leave water in it for a while such as a test run you could always clean it out thoroughly and then sterilise it with a solution using milton tablets. I would not recommend a test run though, even with a pump it takes ages to empty!

bear in mind that some birth pools don't use liners, and ones in hospital don't either.

so I am sure one is plenty.

I can think of no reason why you should throw all the water away (aside from it being dayts and days and days and going rank lol)
