an more? am more, that's what the preview buttons for....

NomDePlume · 04/07/2008 11:46

How sad that they felt that they needed a son so badly.

NomDePlume · 04/07/2008 11:48

70 & 77 is quite elderly. It is very likely that those twins will lose both parents before they reach adulthood.

Who will look after them ?

Will it fall to the older children, their siblings ?

I wonder whether the parents discussed this with their existing adult children before going ahead ?

iamdingdong · 04/07/2008 11:51

good grief, I could barely keep up with my twins when I had them at 33, my parents certainly can't and they're only 66/67, how will she cope?!

FrazzledFairyFay · 04/07/2008 11:52

I feel really sad for those children - the parents were considering their own needs/wants, certainly not those of their new babies, who will lose both parents early in life.

MsDemeanor · 04/07/2008 11:53

I think this is so sad and wrong. And horrible that the culture values boys above girls so much. Very depressing all round.

waffletrees · 04/07/2008 15:07

My parents are both 62 and love having the grandkids over. However, they are both very happy to hand them back because they always need a nap afterwards.

kyme · 08/07/2008 10:46

cruel i say for the reason they wanted a son!!!
they will be left to the older children to bring up whos to say they will make there 5th bdays...

angers me!!!

zippitippitoes · 08/07/2008 10:49

lol at ndp

70 and 77 is quite elderly

she does look quite fit

Carmenere · 08/07/2008 10:50

Hmm, no birthcert. Im guessing that being the oldest mum in the world does mean something to her and it is convenient that they can't prove it.

Litterbug · 08/07/2008 10:51

Quite elderly?! They're practically dead!

Carmenere · 08/07/2008 10:53

My thinking being that if they have five gc and people get married young in her part of the world, surely by 70 she would be likely to have great gc by now? i mean daughters must be 50 and i may be wrong but being a granny at 50 is not that unusual there, so the chances of the gc's being in their 30's without having reproduced is slim imo
