Elective C Section

Hello. I’m due my second baby in February and have opted for a planned c section following an emergency section with my first. Me and baby were both very poorly after the birth so recovery wasn’t particularly easy/straightforward. I’m trying to get myself as prepared as possible this time around, if anyone has any suggestions for what I could do with to make recovery as easy as possible, anything to pack in the hospital bag, things around the house to help etc I’d be grateful! 😊

Hi Op, ive had two c sections one emergency and one elective, I was lucky that I had straight forward recoveries but for my second section my back and core felt very weak . I brought a Carriwell organic cotton belly binder in my hospital bag. It was so comfortable , gave support to my lower back and held me together. It made getting in and out of bed so much easier . It made moving around so much better. I wore it for months and my stomach returned to normal much faster than with my first.

I kept baby supplies, nappies , changing mat etc both upstairs and downstairs, and did some batch cooking for the freezer before Baby came. Congratulations!! Wishing you the very best ❤️
