as suggested in the title, I’ve had stitiches from the tear. I’m in week 2, it’s much better however I can feel the stitiches, and I can kinda of feel the stitches pulling. I know these are dissolvable stitiches, when did you stop feeling it at all? And would it helpful if I have then taken out early or even o cut them myself?

Hi OP, I also had a second degree, I could feel my stitches for around 3-4 weeks. There is something they can give you to put on the area if you feel it is irritating you, I would speak to your midwife and maybe get transferred to a wound specialist, they definitely will not take the stitches out as they need to be there for the wound to heal and not get infected. And please do not attempt to remove them yourself. Mine took 5 weeks to dissolve and my wound was fully healed by 6 weeks I’m now 11 weeks PP and all back to normal, but everybody’s body is different with healing.

Please don't touch your own stitches! If you feel they're uncomfortable, consult a healthcare professional. You don't want to end up with an infection or keloids.

Extra vitamin C, wash after every bathroom break and regular sitz baths to help.
