When did you start your period again after birth?

I’m 5 weeks postpartum and have started bleeding fresh blood. My bleeding had completely stopped from birth about 2 weeks ago. Trying to work out if this is my period coming back or if I need to be concerned. I don’t have period pain currently. Formula feeding, vaginal birth.
when did you start your period again?

13 weeks, all three pregnancies, formula feeding.

3/4 weeks with all 4dc - 2 exclusively bf and 2 bottle fed.

Day after my 6 week check where the GP told me it would be months cos I was exclusively bf after a c section 😂

At 5 weeks I would get it checked. It's very different for everyone. My period returned after 9 months for both DC, one I had stopped bf at 3 months, the other I was still bf. You are still quite early post partum so although it may well be your period you should speak to a healthcare professional.

28 days after post partum bleeding finished, back to a normal cycle like clockwork 😩 exclusively breastfed for a year and it made zero difference to my cycle

6 weeks, EBF. I was really annoyed!

4-6 months. I was combination feeding until 4 months

I've still not got it back, after giving birth 12 months ago. Breastfeeding

13 months. I breastfed for a year.

About 15m but was still bf then

6 weeks back like clockwork both times, ebf

I'd get it checked - when mine came back (3.5 months then 4.5 months - both combi fed), it felt very much like a
period, ie I had all my usual symptoms - boob tenderness, tummy ache, followed by her arrival at the exact time I'd expect - and the flow itself was exactly the same as before birth.

even if fresh blood is "normal" for your cycle I'd still get it checked - would you normally expect a period pain?
