My daughter is 4 weeks old and she struggles to poo she farts and pees alot but can take a few days to poo my health visitor told me that it's normal for babys to not poo for up to 11 days.

However recently aftrr the heatwave and it cooling down the previous week I've noticed since she's been able to poo once a day roughly.. however I noticed she was struggling when the weather was warm before that week and now tonight - which I feel has been very warm like we've had a heatwave .. also she struggles on the night and is completely different in the day where she doesn't struggle not near as much as in the night time..

Has anyone else had a similar problem or is it just me??

To add to this I have been to the doctors for her and he said she's colic which I did think but I also find it very hard to believe because she doesn't cry like she's in pain/frustration through the day - only night time - especially when it's warm/hot weather..

Anything related or even advice would be much appreciated ❤️

I'm sure baby massage had some suggested moves to help things along... you'd have to google for it though as it's been too long to remember exactly. Something about circular rubbing and bicycle legs.

Years ago the advice was to give diluted orange juice or just water. It works it you want to try that.

Sounds like its because she's mildly dehydrated over the heatwave. Since she's still peeing ok I don't mean in a health risk way or anything, but can you try giving her milk more often? Is she EBF or bottle fed?

She's bottle fed and and I do try to give her water but not alot of water I give her a couple sips so she doesn't chuck up her milk but I'll double check on how much to give her aswell!

And we've been doing bycilcle legs but she has a cast on for club foot but I do rub her belly on a circular motion too x

Dentinox helped for us. It’s for wind but made him poo within seconds x
