Was wondering how long did your bleeding last for after an emergency section the last couple of weeks ive been in panty liners but it doesnt seem to be stopping or changing just a constant drip 🙈

11 weeks after my second

Mine was 14 years ago but i remember it being at least 6 weeks if not longer. Going for a walk or any kind of exertion made it worse. If you’re at the panty liner stage already I’d say that’s pretty good going, post partum bleeding however you delivered is very normal, congrats by the way!

Post partum bleeding can last for 6 weeks and a fair bit longer is also usual. It makes no difference how you delivered the baby.

I bled for 10 weeks after my section.

Around 6-8 weeks after both my planned sections.

I think people assume that bleeding after a c section is minimal but the uterus still has to shed no matter how you gave birth.

Lochia typically lasts the same length of time after a section as a vaginal birth (2-6 weeks is average but can be a lot longer). The length of time is less important than looking out for signs of infection.

10-11 weeks with both sections!

About 8 weeks with my first section. Though it tapered off and started again so im not sure if it stopped and then I got a period...

5 weeks with the second section.
