Arnica and c-sections

What strength arnica am I supposed to take? My dh went to the health food shop for me and they gave him the strongest they had which was purple and made by Nelsons which says 6c on it - is there stronger or shall i take this - and how much shall i take and how often? Have to take today if as the rules say a week before the section!

Hi, I think you definitely want stronger than 6c. You can buy 30c from most shops, (green rather than purple tubes) but I took Arnica, Hypericum, Calendula, Sos pills (200c) from the organic pharmacy www.theorganicpharmacy.com they are £5.50 and you can buy online - look under labour and post labout essentials. They refer to labour - but I went to the organic pharmacy shop and discussed itwith them and they said that they were just as appropriate (if not more so) for healing after section. I healed brilliantly from both my sections. Who knows whether the pills helped though! Don't forget to mention to your midwife that you are taking them.
