Fearing the unknown!

Feeling a little bit fed-up this morning!

Been in pre-labour for 9 days now - todays my Due Date and I feel no different. Infact I don't even feel pregnant anymore!

Thought I was leaking fluid over the day yesterday as felt very damp down below. Think I was actually just lightly peeing myself though as no contractions have started

I'm really worried about the speed of everything though once it starts as this is my second. I can't do this without an Epidural and my biggest fear is this is all going to start in the middle of the night and we sort out babysitting for DD, get to the hospital and they tell me I'm too late for one.

DD was born with an epidural because she was back to back and they took pity on me when I was 8cms but I really had to beg them . So far this baby is back to back too but I've got a feeling it's moved round the right way now - even still, I just need to know I can have an epidural if I really want one.

I'm starting to work myself up!

I was in prelabour for 14 days with DS2.

On his due date all the pains stopped and I had a normal day until 9pm when conractions started,

he was born 5 hours later

when you go to hospital ask them about this - or get your dh/dp to ask if you can't

Hi Starlight - I had awful cramps and stitches last thursday (39 weeks)- rang labour ward as thought it odd, and they told me to go in for monitoring. Sat there on the trace machine and the midwife asked me if I could feel any of these contractions that were being recorded. I said no, I just had lower back ache. She examined me said I was 1cm and in the 'latent phase' i.e pre labour and to just go home and monitor myself. Well I've been on tenterhooks eversince and that was 9 days ago. Guess its normal. The most I've had since then is more back ache, more heaviness and stitching but no contractions and definitely no baby

Midwife at routine check up said def early baby so did GP on monday! And now today is my due date. Just not feeling too 'lucky' at the mo!!

yeah been nipple twiddling like mad! No sex yet, might jump DH's bones soon.

Yes pooing quite a lot recently

You're probably right - be careful what you wish for! It's being at that very uncomfortable 'I want this over' feeling but really 'frying pan....fire' springs to mind

'However achieved' - I like the sound of that.

You mean that DH doesn't have to be involved, but Hugh Jackman could be, right?

Sorry for the hijack!

Amberc · 24/06/2008 09:31

Hoonette - very funny indeed!

knockedup · 24/06/2008 09:39

Hee hee!

I wouldn't say no to Hugh - think he may probably say no to me though!
