Did anyone go into spontaneous labour second pregnancy after failed induction with first?

I’m 38w with my second baby and booked in for an elective c section.

With my first DC, I was 42 weeks and I never went into labour. Baby was never even engaged, I had to be induced, which worked enough they could break my waters and then after contracting for 12 hours on the drip I was only 3cm dilated and hadn’t made any progress for hours.

I just wanted to hear about anyone who had similar experience with their first but actually went into spontaneous labour with their second? I felt like such a failure that I couldn’t even go into labour, and I would love to have that “moment” with this pregnancy. I just can’t imagine it happening!

I had an emergency c section with dc1 for failure to progress following 3 days of induction.
I went into spontaneous labour with dc2 about a week late. I was supposed to be induced in the morning. I had to have a section in the end though, my babies were big and I was little, it was just never going to happen.
Both grown up and well and normal sized.
Going into labour naturally didn't feel all that different in the end for me.
I hope everything goes smoothly for you Flowers
